New Years Eve has to be one of my favorite times to celebrate life. There’s nothing like a reset/ refresh button in the New Year. Not to mention, I’m an avid Champagne drinker, I enjoy celebrating life. This year we served up a fun Champagne Sparkler Signature Cocktail. The recipe is below.

Champagne Sparkler Signiture Cocktail Ingredients

Blackyberry Simple Syrup (recipe below)
Champagne
Gin
Thyme
Ice
Brown sugar for Rim

To make the blackberry simple syrup its super “simple” haha, get it! 🙂 In a saucepan, bring blackberries, 1 cup of water, and a cup of sugar to boil. Reduce heat to simmer, until the simple syrup has turned pink. (5 minutes or so). Remove from heat, drain juice into a mason jar. Let cool in fridge. Here’s a tip, this syrup will last up to two weeks in the fridge so you can make in advance. I like to not only add this natural syrup to my cocktails but also sparkling water to give it a fresh fruit taste!

Directions

Prep your champagne glasses by dipping the rims in brown sugar. To get the sugar to stick, use butter! Yes, I said butter! Simply spread some butter on a plate, dip the flute top in the butter then in the brown sugar. Drop two blackberries into the glasses. Add one ounce of blackberry simple syrup and one ounce of gin. Fill the rest of the glass with champagne. Finish your sparkler cocktail with a sprig of thyme! Cheers!

Cheers to the New Year!
