Easter is almost here! I wanted to share some inspiration to give you ideas for setting your own table.

Easter by far is one of my favorites holidays.  One, I love the bright beautiful spring colors! The flowers during this season are my favorite. You cannot help but smile when you see beautiful tulips and easter lilies! But more importantly, celebrating the victory of the resurrection of Jesus is the best gift anyone can receive! Hallelujah!

I think we can all agree that this last year has taught us how valuable family and friends fellowship truly is! That’s why I firmly believe, setting a pretty table for your family and loved ones to gather around is so important.

I am so honored to be working with Coton Colors this season to bring you their beautiful Easter collection. Coton Colors truly offers an easy and simple approach to tabletop making so that you can focus more on creating memorable moments.  I really love Coton Colors because of their concept, “Swap Tabletop”. Swap Tabletop allows you to easily mix and match your table ware to fit any occasion! I am always mix-matching my tabletops to create a new and fresh look.  Pair their stylish seasonal lines with their everyday classic statement pieces,  and you have an impressive table with very little effort.  Whether you’re looking to grow your tabletop collection or looking for the perfect gift this season, I highly recommend starting with Coton Colors!

From my family to yours Happy Easter, He is Risen!

Place Setting

For this place setting, I used several layering pieces using different textures and hues of green. I wanted to complement the green bunnies in the salad plate so I used a woven lime green placemat, with a green charger.  Fun fact, did you know that the charger plate was first used in the 1200’s to prevent food from staining the tablecloth or table? In addition, they are used to retain the heat of the plate to keep the meal warm. Today, we use them for more of the overall design of the look of the table but love to understand the history behind tabletop etiquette.

For the main dinner plate, I used Coton Colors Arabesque plate. Like we discussed above, this dinner plate is versatile and neutral when it comes to the idea of “swapping” which allows for it to go with any tabletop styling. One of my favorite unique features I love about this brand is the plates all come with scalloped or curved edges. Here, I used this year’s speckled Easter salad plate. I love this muted tone green and the scalloped edges. I completed the look of the place setting with colorful spring plaid napkins and victorian style flatware.

Tablescape Design

For the tablescape design, I kept it fairly clean. I added fresh spring flowers -ranunculus, carnations, and snapdragons. I found these adorable linen carrots in muted spring colors (linked below).  Another fun way to decorate is using large glass apothecary jar and filling them with colorful easter eggs, carrots, or even candy!

I wanted to share another space with you to decorate. I love to style my kitchen coffee area with seasonal decor.  These mugs are by far my favorite. I love their size (they can fit a lot of coffee, which is a huge bonus for this busy Momma), the speckling paint on the handle, and then the scalloping detailing on the bottom of the cup just makes the mug that much cuter! So they deserve to be showcased! Another idea when decorating vignettes, or shelving, is to display your plates using plate stands. Here I used one of my collected brass stands.  The other tip I would give you when styling a space such as this is to use different objects with different heights and textures.  I never know when guests will come to our home, so I am always prepared and have some type of baked good ready. I used the speckled oval platter. A final thought, the speckled appetizer bowls I love to keep on my kitchen island with fun candy or nuts throughout the holiday or season. This is a great grab-and-go treat for my family. Sometimes I will mix the candies with our favorite nuts ( to make it a little healthy of course) :).
