Happy New Years! This one is BIG.. why you ask? It’s the beginning of a new decade! The last several years, we have been low key at New Years Eve but this year, it’s worth celebrating! Just remember where you were in 2010 and reflect on that for a minute. Then think of what all you have accomplished since then! Wow! For me personally, a lot has changed to say the least, from graduating college, to getting my first job, getting married, turning 30 :0 , and three children later we are here. Bottom line, I can’t wait to see what this new decade has in store for us.

So let’s talk about my inspiration for this table. Being that we are entering into a new decade, I thought it would only be appropriate to celebrate with a fresh, clean look. A new decade means a new start. Maybe this past decade was challenging for you, or you experienced some hardships. Or maybe you’re entering into a new phase of your life that’s creating change. 2020 is the perfect year to start fresh! That’s why I choose hues of whites and metals.

I had the pleasure of creating this tablescape with Joanna Buchanan’s stunning napkin rings and place card holders. I love a good tablescape where a few pieces steal the show, and her pieces deliver! To take a look at her full line –click here

Thank you to Joanna for allowing me to use your beautiful pieces!

When I saw the starburst napkin rings I knew they would be perfect for my vision! The celestial design with pearls and sparkling crystals just make any napkin that you decide to use, stand out! They are significant in weight and make an elegant yet striking statement for your table. Not only is this great for starting your collection, it also makes a great gift- the packaging was beautiful! When I saw her place card holders, I was elated and relieved! Let me tell you why, one, quality place card holders are hard to find! Two, just like the napkin rings, the place cards carry weight which ensures the card will be held up, and not fall over. Thirdly, the details on these pretty buzzy bees are stunning and intricate. I love the striped effect with the gemstones.  Lastly, I really appreciated the fact that each set conveniently comes with 22 heavy weight place cards. The holders can not only be used for your place settings, but  also be used on your buffets, grazing and/or dessert stations. Click here to purchase these buzzy place card holders!

For the center of the table I collected various low profile glass jars. I used spray roses, hues of white roses, and carnations. For candle light I used my vintage brass candlesticks and some rhinestone votives. My goal was to try to keep it clean and minimal.

For each place setting I used mix-match dinner plates- they reminded me of The Great Gatsby. I then used some of the family’s vintage flatware. You can’t have a New Years Eve party without pretty glasses so I snagged these beauties at Home Goods. The big statements here for each place setting was of course the Joanna Buchanan napkin rings and place card holders.

What a fun table this was to put together! I hope you got some good ideas for your NYE party! I’d love to hear how you plan to ring in the New Year! Let me know in the comments.
