When I think of celebrating birthdays, I envision bright beautiful colors. I wanted to create a tablescape that reflected just that, and I love how it turned out!

For every table, I look for something that inspires me. When I found this Hester and Cook China blue table runner I knew I wanted to work based on it. I love the detailing and the rich blue hue, and did I mention, its paper!!!

For the place setting I used my classic white dinner plates and layered Meri Meri bright blue plates on top. I highly recommend Meri Meri for any disposable party items. They are very unique and fun! I used our collection of the golden flatware for an extra pop!

I used these beautiful coupe glasses for champagne. Click here.

For lighting I used my go-to candlesticks and placed them in pairs on the table.

For the flowers I picked up an array of roses all in different colors, and blue hydrangeas. For large centerpieces I like to use a curly willow branch in the vase to help build a natural grid. It supports your flowers and looks great in water! I then used small votives and trimmed roses to fit accordingly. Lastly, I love the look of single flowers in a tall vase so I trimmed these rich red tulips to stand beautifully!

I used my bar cart in the room as a easy place to grab a refill! These gold tumblers go great with the bamboo tray.

That’s it! Simple, colorful, and beautiful table! I hope it makes you smile and inspires you to work with color the next time you have a celebration!
